한국화 교육의 문제점과 개선방안에 관한 연구 : 중학교 수묵화 프로그램 개발을 중심으로 = A Study on Problems and Improvements - By The Program Developments of Indian Ink Painting -

국문 초록 (Abstract)

한글초록: 미술 교육은 다양한 미술 활동을 통하여 주변 세계의 아름다움을 느끼며 향유 할 수 있는 심미적인 태도와 상상력, 창의력, 비판적 사고력을 길러 주고 아울러 미술 문화를 이해하며 계승, 발전시킬 수 있는 전인적 인간을 육성하는데 목적이 있다. 그러나 오늘날 우리의 미술교육은 다변화하는 국제사회에서 무분별적으로 유입되는 외래문화의 영향으로 우리의 전통문화가 제대로 이해, 계승 되지 못하고 있는 실정이다. 한국화 교육은 우리 전통문화의 가치를 이해하고 우리 문화에 대한 우수성을 긍정적으로 수용할 능력과 태도를 기를 수 있는 바탕이 된다. 따라서 본 연구는 중학교 학생들의 한국화 교육의 실태를 알아보고 그 문제점과 개선방안을 찾는데 목적을 두었다. 본 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위한 연구내용은 한국화의 이론적 고찰과 현행 중학교 미술 교과과정 및 교과서를 분석하고 교사 및 학생들의 설문결과를 바탕으로 한국화 교육의 현황과 문제점, 개선방안 등을 연구하였다. 연구방법으로는 현직 교사들의 사전 면담과 문헌 연구를 통하여 문제점을 알아 본 후, 부산 지역 N여중과 D중학교 1학년 학생을 대상으로 학습 현황 조사를 실시하였다. 이에 대한 연구결과 학생들의 한국화에 대한 인지도와 관심도는 매우 낮았으며 실제 수업은 효율적으로 이루어지지 않고 있었다. 이는 빠르게 다변화 되어 가는 학생들의 감성에 맞지 않아 관심 밖의 영역으로 인식 되고 있었다. 또한 교사의 한국화 교육에 대한 이해와 지도력 부족, 미술실 등 환경 조성 미비, 용구의 준비 등이 원인으로 조사되었다. 이에 따른 개선방안으로는 첫째 발달단계에 적합하고 상세한 설명을 갖춘 교과서내용의 개선과, 둘째 교사의 전문성을 위한 실기연수, 셋째 기자재, 용구 갖추기 및 실습실의 확보, 마지막으로 학생들의 흥미를 되찾을 수 있는 시대의 변화에 따른 새롭고 친근한 한국화 프로그램을 개발하여 한국화 교육이 활성화 될 수 있는 계기를 만들어야 할 것이다

영문초록: Art Education has a goal of fostering a whole person through a variety of art activities, that is, facilitating students to have aesthetic attitude toward enjoying the beauty of their environment as well as imagination, creativity and critical thought, so that students can understand and develop art cultures. Today, however, the Art Education in classrooms in Korea just follows western art cultures without thoroughly considering the Korean traditional culture. Teaching Korean Painting should start with understanding the value of the Korean traditional culture and guide students to build up positive attitudes toward the distinction of traditional culture. Accordingly, The study aims to investigate problems found in current Korean Painting lessons in Art curriculum of the middle school and suggest improvements regarding the Korean Painting classes. To achieve the purpose of the study, we considered concepts and features of Korean painting and investigated the current art curriculum and textbooks of middle school; examined the problems of current Korean painting instruction and several plans to resolve it. The study proceeded with interviewing current middle school teachers and referring to referential literatures to find out problems of current Korean painting classes, then conducting a questionnaire survey of first-year students in N girls middle school and D middle school in Pusan. As a consequence, we found out the fact that students are rarely interested in Korean painting, besides lessons doesn't make the most of it. Hence, the fact that Korean painting classes haven't met the needs of students leads to the result that Korean painting was recognized as a thing out of students' interests. Another problem is the fact that even Art teachers take part in the class with poor understanding and skills on Korean painting. The shortage of Materials and circumstances of painting classroom for Korean painting classes was analyzed as one of causes as well. To resolve these problems, this study suggests several plans. First, the textbook contents should be reedited and referred to a full of detailed explanation for students. Secondly, it is necessary to offer art teachers an opportunity to take a variety of workshops to make their specialty. Thirdly, it is also important to prepare sufficient materials and provide enough painting classrooms. Finally, new and interesting programs regarding Korean painting should be produced to trigger students' motivation. Consequently, we should try to make plans to facilitate and improve Korean painting instruction
