유아교사의 아동학대 신고 의도에 영향을 미치는 요인 = Factors influencing early childhood teachers' reporting intention on child abuse

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine factors associated with reporting intention on child abuse among early childhood teachers in Korea based on the Theory of Planned Behavior. The scale, which includes demographics, preparation level of training, institution characteristics, reporting-related behavior, reporting intention, knowledge, attitudes, subjective norms, and self-efficacy, was used to collect the data. A total of 212 teachers participated in the study.
The result of this study is as follows. First, even though the teachers doubted the child abuse, while 1.9% of them reported, 98.1% of them did not. In terms of teachers’ report intention, the vignettes of very serious cases were higher than that of less serious cases. The teachers’ reporting intention of sexual abuse was the highest among the types of child abuse, and it was followed by physical abuse, neglect, and emotional abuse. Second, knowledge, attitudes, and subjective norms gave positive impacts on teachers’ reporting intention.
The findings suggest problem-based learning according to the type of child abuse for early childhood teachers. Furthermore, there is a need to develop a child abuse checklist for teachers and create the teaching staffs’ supportive atmosphere for child abuse reporting.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 계획행동이론을 근거로 하여 지식, 태도, 주관적 규범, 자기효능감이 유아교사의 아동학대 신고 의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 유아교사의 신고 관련 행동, 신고 의도, 지식, 태도, 주관적 규범, 자기효능감, 인구학적 특성, 교육적 준비수준, 기관 특성 등을 조사하였으며, 총 212명이 분석에 포함되었다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 아동학대 의심 사례를 신고 한 유아교사들은 1.9%인 반면, 신고하지 않은 유아교사들은 98.1%이었다. 아동학대 신고 의도의 경우, 경미한 아동학대 사례보다 심각한 아동학대 사례가 높게 나타났으며, 아동학대 유형별 신고 의도는 성 학대가 가장 높았고, 그 다음으로 신체 학대, 방임, 정서 학대 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 아동학대 사례 지식, 태도, 주관적 규범은 유아교사의 아동학대 신고 의도에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 아동학대 유형별 사례중심학습, 아동학대 체크리스트 개발, 아동학대 신고에 대한 교직원들의 지지적인 분위기 조성 등을 제안하였다.
