      다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Erythrodermic psoriasis (EP) is a severe form of psoriasis that can affect nearly entire body surface area. Aggravating factors such as infection, Koebner reaction and sudden withdrawal of systemic therapy can acutely arouse erythroderma in chronic psoriasis patients. In recent studies, ustekinumab has been shown to be effective against EP which has not responded to conventional treatments. A 65-year-old female with a 6-year history of psoriasis was admitted with generalized erythema and desquamation after taking snake venom as an alternative medicine. Considering clinical manifestations and histopathologic findings, she was diagnosed as EP. She was treated with systemic corticosteroid and cyclosporine, but the remaining lesion persisted and her itching, painful symptoms did not respond to cyclosporine treatment. Ustekinumab treatment was started, and after the first injection, the patient showed remarkable improvement of psoriatic lesions. Herein, we report a case of successful treatment with ustekinumab of erythrodermic psoriasis induced by snake venom.
