사이버가정학습 학부모튜터의 역할수행에 영향을 미치는 및 참여동기 = Factors and Motivation of Parents Tutor for Cyber Home Learning System

The purpose of this study was to identify parents tutor`s role and competencies and to develop the effective training plans for them. In this study, parents tutor was defined as a person who is facilitating students` learning by encouraging, helping, and monitoring students to support the teacher of Cyber Home Learning System. A survey was conducted to identify what factors were hindering parents tutor for those who were doing parents tutor in five districts. For the analysis factor analysis was conducted for 380 parents tutors currently working for each districts. Five factors were extracted from the analysis as hindering parents tutors` activities. Five factors were identified from the survey: 1) Understanding of student, 2) computer literacy, 3) regular participation, 4) use of LMS, and 5) guide for learning. The demographic information of the current parents tutors gave descriptive characteristics for future. Most participants of parents tutor were female at 94.0% and the age range of 70.6% of parents tutors were from late thirties and early forties. This demographic information means that currently working parent tutors will continue to play a key role for the next five years, because their children will be in the school system. Most of parents tutor participating to this study have students at the high grade of elementary school or beginning of middle school The highest ranked motivation of participating to the parents tutor was for their children`s academic achievement. This result may reflect that Cyber Home Learning System needs to provide beneficial information for parents tutor to help their children`s academic achievement. By providing the information, it would be also possible for the parents tutor to improve their competency for helping their students in the Cyber Home Learning System.
