    As a nonpoint source, arable land is a pool of pollutants for water pollution. Particularly, organic matter and inorganic phosphate in arable land soil are important nutrients for crop plants growing, while they are potential pollutants to hydro-ecosystem. This was conducted to compare residual content of organic matter and available phosphate in soil of upland, plastic house, and rice paddy as a potential source of water pollution. The pH values of upland, plastic house, and rice paddy soil were 5.6, 5.4, and 6.0 respectively. The highest content of organic matter was 43.1g/kg in plastic house and followed by upland 30.5h/kg, the lowest was 22.3g/kg in rice paddy soil. Available phosphate exhibited the highest content in plastic house, 911mg/kg, and followed by upland soil, 555mg/kg, the lowest was 99mg/kg in rice paddy.
