부모의 부정적 양육태도와 중학교 2학년 학생의 여가추구형 스마트폰 과의존 간의 관계에서 사회적 위축의 매개효과 = The Mediating Effect of Social Withdrawal in the Relationship between Parents' Negative Parenting Attitudes and 2nd Grade Middle School Students' Leisure-oriented Smartphone Overdependence

국문 초록 (Abstract)

연구목적: 본 연구는 부모의 부정적 양육태도가 중학교 2학년 학생들의 여가추구형 스마트폰
과의존에 미치는 영향에서 사회적 위축의 매개효과를 살펴보고자 하였다.
연구방법: 한국청소년정책연구원(NYPI)이 제공한 한국아동․청소년패널조사 2018 데이터 가운데
중학교 2학년 학생 2,039명의 자료를 활용하였으며, 부모의 부정적 양육태도, 사회적
위축, 스마트폰 과의존 측정도구를 사용하여 신뢰도 분석, 상관관계 분석, 다중회귀
분석, 3단계 매개효과 분석, Sobel test를 실시하였다.
연구결과: 첫째, 부모의 부정적 양육태도가 청소년의 여가추구형 스마트폰 과의존에 영향을 미
치는 것으로 나타났으며, 부정적 양육태도 수준이 높을수록 청소년의 여가추구형 스
마트폰 과의존 수준이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부모의 부정적 양육태도가 청소
년의 여가추구형 스마트폰 과의존에 미치는 영향에서 사회적 위축의 부분매개효과
가 나타나 부모의 부정적 양육 태도가 청소년의 사회적 위축 수준을 높이며, 이로
인해 여가 추구형 스마트폰 과의존 수준이 증가한다고 해석할 수 있다.
연구결론: 청소년들의 여가추구형 스마트폰 과의존 예방을 위해서는 부모의 부정적 양육태도를
긍정적 양육태도로 전환하도록 돕는 것이 중요하며, 사회적 위축을 완화할 수 있는
적극적인 개입이 필요하다. 이를 통해 스마트폰 과의존 문제를 효과적으로 예방할
수 있을 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Purpose: This study aimed to examine the mediating effect of social withdrawal on the relationship
between parents' negative parenting attitudes and leisure-oriented smartphone
overdependence among 2nd grade middle school students.
Methods: This study utilized data from 2,039 2nd grade students extracted from the 2018
Korean Child and Youth Panel Survey provided by the National Youth Policy Institute
(NYPI). Reliability was assessed using measurement tools for parents’ negative
parenting attitudes, social withdrawal, and smartphone dependence. Correlation
analysis, multiple regression analysis, three-stage mediation analysis, and the Sobel
test were performed.
Results: First, it was found that parents' negative parenting attitudes significantly affect adolescents'
leisure-oriented smartphone overdependence, with higher levels of negative parenting
attitudes leading to increased levels of overdependence. Second, in the effect of parents'
negative parenting attitudes on adolescents' leisure-oriented smartphone overdependence,
a partial mediating effect of social withdrawal is observed. This suggests that parents'
negative parenting attitudes increase adolescents' levels of social withdrawal, which in turn
leads to a higher level of leisure-oriented smartphone overdependence.
Conclusion: To prevent adolescents' leisure-oriented smartphone overdependence, it is important to
help parents shift from negative to positive parenting attitudes and to implement active
interventions that can alleviate social withdrawal. Through these measures, the issue of
smartphone overdependence can be effectively prevented.
