부부 갈등 및 부부 관계 특성과 아동의 주의력 결핍 과잉행동성향과의 관계 = The Relationship between the Characteristics of Parents' Conflict & Marital Relationship and the Tendencies of Children's Attention Deficit Hyper-activity Disorder

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study purposes to investigate the relationship between the characteristics of parent's conflict & merital relationship and the tendency of children's attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Based on that result, it also put a meaning to provide with a theoretical base for diagnosing ADHD children's problems in their behaviors and for educating and curing them along with a basic data for prevention approach.
This stuffy classified 340 children of 6-8 years old into two groups, ie. ordinary group of 295 children and ADHD tendency group of 45 children thru Abbreviated parent-teacher conners Rating Scales, who are in kindergarten, nursery and primary school which locates in Seoul and Gyunggi Province. By comparison of those two groups, it investigated the degree and contents of their parents' conflicts which have been recognised by themselves and the differences of their parents' characteristics in marital relationship which may be represented by the ways of cope with convicts and the methods of communication.. And then, it tried to explain the relationship between the characteristics of parent's conflict & marital relationship and their children's tendency of ADHD.
The data was collected by questionnaire method and the questionnaires has been composed with the purposes to select the children who show ADHD tendency and to the characteristics of parent's conflict and marital relationship. The collected data has been treated by a statistical programme of SPSS/PC WIN and analysed by t-test and χ2 -test methods.
The result of this study can be summarized as follows.
First, there were some significant diferences in the degree and content of parent's conflict between the ordinary group and ADHD tendency group. Namely, the lathers and mothers of ADHD tendency children's were recognizing their conflict much more seriously than the ordinary group's parents. Even in the result of investigation on detailed reasons for conflict, ADHD tendency group's parents showed higher level of conflict than the ordinary group in all areas of children matter, characters and sense of value, sex life and communication, the relationships with the parent's original families, family economy, individual's bad habits, etc..
Secondly, there were also some important differences in marital relationship between the ordinary group's and ADHD tendency group's parents when investigated the ways of conflict management and the methods & combination patterns of communication.
In the respect of the ways of conflict management, the ADHD tendency group's parents adopted more frequently the non-constructive conflict management methods such as showing of emotional behaviors and avoidance than the ordinary group. Especially, the ordinary group's parents adopted rational methods usually. In the respect of communication patterns, the ADHD tendency group's parents showed tendencies for mal-functional combination such as unfaithfulness, authoritarian manner and indifference, more than the ordinary group, while the ordinary group showed the characteristics of marital relationship which have higher mutual respect tendency and more functional combination of communication than the ADHD group.
