성별 은퇴사유와 은퇴 후 소득 비교 = Comparison of Retirement Reasons and the Amount of Income after Retirement by Gender

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to compare retirement reasons by gender and investigate the factors that affect the amount of income after retirement by gender. The data were drawn from special module of KLIPS(Korea Labor and Income Panel Study), Vol. 6(2003). From this dataset, 1,023 retired people were selected for this study. The results of this study were as follow: First, 46.9% of retired people retired on medical grounds and early retired in comparison with retired people who officially retired at the age limit. Second, the factors that affect retirement reasons and income in male differ from those in female. Thus, in order to identify and understand retired people, it is necessary to approach by gender. Third, some parts of supporting retired people are done by private income transfers. But the amount of monetary burden to support retired people by government is expected much more than because of Family culture changes. From now on, an approach will be needed to prepare and solve this issue.
