국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 키르벳 쿰란의 구리 두루마리(3Q15)의 문학 장르와 역사적 배경의 문제에 대한 것이다. 이 문헌은 롤랑 드 보가 이끈 고고학 팀에 의해 1952년에 발견되었다. 이 문헌의 특별한 재질과 그것의 보존 상태 때문에, 두루마리를 개봉하고 해독하는 것은 맨체스터 대학교 과학기술 대학에서 작업될 때인 1955-1956년까지 기다려야 했다. 사본의 공식 본문은 밀릭에 의해 1962년 DJD 3권에 발표되었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to explore the questions of both the genre and the historical context of the Copper Scroll(3Q15) from Khirbet Qumran. This document was discovered in 1952 by a team of archaeologists lead by R. de Vaux. Due to the unusual material of the document, and its state of preservation, the opening and reading of the scroll had to wait until 1955-1956, when the scroll was opened at the Manchester College of Science and Technology. The official text edition in that of J.T. Milik in Discoveries in the Judaean Desert of Jordan III in 1962.
The literary genre of the Copper Scroll has been a much-debated issue.
Several scholars have pointed to the similarities between the Copper Scroll text and a list, and to the lack of any narrative framework in the document.
From a formal viewpoint the text is addressed to a “you”-addressee. The text would seem to envisage a situation in which the hidden treasures are to be reclaimed and recovered by this “you”-figure. The addressee, however, remains anonymous in the text. As far as genre is concerned, the Copper Scroll could be interpreted as a form of manual containing instructions for the day when the treasures now hidden are to be uncovered.
The geographical outlook of the Copper Scroll seems to focus primarily on the area in and near Jerusalem, on locations close to Wadi Qumran, and on the vicinity of Jericho. References to a limited number of locations outside these main areas, however, deserve particular attention. The document mentions Nebo, Garizim, and Bet Shan. This would seem to indicate an interesting focus on Northern Palesine in marked contrast to absence of references to locations in Southern Palestine outside the three areas mentioned above, or to the coastal areas of Palestine. Another noteworthy aspect of the geography of the Copper Scroll is the significant number of place-names, which are either biblical names proper, or in some way connected with Old Testament texts or traditions.
