    The purpose of this study is to analyze the application of mixed land use system and form-based code and
    propose a direction for efficient land use in Korea. Through review the entire contents of the US mixed land
    use system and form-based code and analyze the best practice of mixed land use system, form-based code
    through a review of the literature at home and abroad. The results of this study are as follows. It is expected
    that used as a reference material for practical use of land use flexibility on the current mixed land use system.
    The form based code can be used as a new alternative in terms of the system in which residents can
    participate in the planning process.
