[특집/청계천 복원의 사회학]청계천의 공간문화: 파괴, 정체, 그리고 희망

국문 초록 (Abstract)

청계고가도로를 없애고 청계천을 되살리는 것은 박정희의 파괴적 개발로 짓뭉개진 서울의 역사와 자연을 되살리는 것이다. 그리고 그로부터 새로운 공간관과 공간문화가 싹트게 될 것이다.<br/>
새로운 공간문화가 우리에게 오직 절제와 보존만을 요청하는 것은 아니다. '생태적으로 지속가능한 발전'의 개념을 끌어들여서 말하자면, 우리는 '생태적으로 지속가능한 이용'의 길을 찾아야한다.<br/>
자연과 역사의 복원을 기준으로 청계천 되살리기를 추진하는 관점의 전환이 무엇보다 긴요하다. 청계천 되살리기는 대단히 복합적인 내용과 목적을 지닌 거대한 도시개조사업이다. 따라서 이에 걸맞는 시공간적 시야와 명확한 목표설정이 필요하다.<br/>

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper argues that the Chunggye Overpass should be removed in order to restore the Chunggye stream. That will, the paper argues, help ecologically restore the history and nature of Seoul that have been destroyed by "the destructive development" of the Pak Jung Hee government m the 1960s and 1970s A more environment-friendly view of space and a new spacial culture can begin to develop from this great change<br/>
To develop a new spacial culture, we have to proceed beyond Simple self-restraint and conservation In line with the principle of "ecologically sustainable development," we have to search for a path of "ecologically sustainable utility" Moreover, it is most important for us to change our point of view of restoration We need to think of the restoration of the Chunggye stream under a broader framework of restoring history and nature<br/>
