본 연구는 ‘동심의 위로, 순수의 회복’이란 주제로 박사학위 청구 전(2022년 10월 12일 ∼ 10월 17일, 동덕아트갤러리 A, B, C실 전관)에 전시되었던 연구자의 작품들을 중심으로 박사 연구 과정에서 조사·분석했던 키덜트 작품들을 대상으로 했다.

본 논문은 현대미술에서 나타나는 키덜티즘의 조형 표현에 대한 이미지 유형과 요소들을 주목하고 그 이론적 배경을 고찰하면서 키덜티즘이 현대사회에 주고 있는 사회, 문화적 현상을 알아보고 미술 분야의 영역에서 시도되는 작품 속 조형 표현의 기법과 의미에 관하여 연구자 본인의 연구 작품을 중심으로 검증하고 해석하는 데에 목적이 있다.

서론에서 연구의 목적과 방법을 설명하며, 이론적 배경에서 다원주의적 현대사회와 네오 팝 아트의 배경과 양상을 살펴본다. 그다음으로 키덜트(Kidult)의 문화 현상을 이해하기 위해 키덜트의 배경, 유형 및 이미지의 특징을 탐구한다.

포스트모더니즘에 보여지는 키덜트 현상을 분석함으로써 현대미술에서 나타난 키덜티즘의 영향력을 확인한다. 연구자는 앤디 워홀(Andy Warhol), 무라카미 다카시(Murakami Takashi), 이동기(Lee Dongi), 나라 요시토모(Nara Yoshitomo)와 같은 작가들의 작품을 예시로 삼아 키덜티즘의 조형 표현에 대한 분석을 수행한다. 그리고 캐릭터의 표현과 의미, 팝 아트의 차용, 그라피티 등 다양한 측면에서 본 연구자의 작품들을 중심으로 분석함으로써 키덜티즘의 조형 표현을 이해하고 해석한다.

본 연구는 심리학에서 연구되는 내면아이(Inner Child)라는 개념을 이해하고 사회 전반에 걸친 키덜티즘의 사회현상을 고찰하며 미술 작품에서 보이는 조형적인 표현을 연구하고 이를 통해 창의성과 정서적 안정을 회복하는 방법을 탐구한다. 본 논문에서의 내면아이는 우리가 어린 시절에 갖고 있던 순수하고 창의적인 마음을 의미하며, 이를 되살리고 활용함으로써 현대인의 감정적 회복을 도모할 수 있다는 가설에 기반했다.

본 연구는 예술 작품을 통한 키덜티즘의 조형 표현과 창의적인 요소, 그리고 이러한 작품이 현대인에게 어떠한 영향을 미칠 수 있는지를 연구자의 작품을 중심으로 탐구한다.

키덜티즘의 조형 표현에 관한 연구는 미술교육, 심리치료, 예술치료 등 다양한 분야에서 실제적인 적용을 위한 기초 자료로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 연구 결과는 예술적 접근법을 개발하고 창작에 대한 다양성과 현대인의 감성과 자아의 회복을 촉진하기 위한 근거로 사용될 것이다.

Abstract

A Study of Formative Representation of Kidultism

- Focused on the Works of the Researcher -

This study focuses on the researcher’s works that were exhibited before claiming a doctoral degree (In Rooms A, B, and C at Dongduk Art Gallery, October 12 - 17, 2022) under the theme of “Consolation of Innocence of Childhood and Restoration of Innocence” and includes the Kidult works that were created during the doctoral research process.
This study aims to examine the social and cultural phenomena of Kidultism in contemporary society by noting the image types and elements of the formative expressions of Kidultism and examining its theoretical background, and to verify and interpret the techniques and meanings of formative expressions in the works attempted in the field of art by focusing on the researcher’s research works.
This study explains the purpose and method of the study in the introduction and examines the background and aspects of pluralistic contemporary society and neo-pop art in the theoretical background. Then, to understand the cultural phenomenon of Kidult, this study explores the background, types, and image characteristics of Kidult.
The influence of Kidultism in contemporary art is confirmed by analyzing the phenomenon of Kidult in postmodernism. The researcher analyzes the formative expressions of Kidultism through the works of artists such as Andy Warhol, Takashi Murakami, Dong-ki Lee, and Yoshitomo Nara. In addition, the researcher analyzes various aspects such as the expression and meaning of characters, borrowing from pop art, and graffiti to understand and interpret the formative expression of Kidultism.
This study understands the concept of the inner child as studied in psychology, examines the social phenomenon of Kidultism in society as a whole, studies the formative expressions in the works of art, and explores how to restore creativity and emotional stability through the study. It is based on the hypothesis that the inner child refers to the innocent and creative mind we possess in childhood and that we can promote the emotional recovery of modern people by reviving and utilizing it.
This study explores the formative expression and creative elements of Kidultism through artistic works, and how these works can affect modern people, focusing on the researcher’s works.
The study of the formative expression of Kidultism is expected to serve as a baseline material for practical applications in various fields such as art education, psychotherapy, and art therapy. The research results will be used as a basis for developing artistic approaches and promoting diversity in creativity and the recovery of contemporary sensibilities and psychology.
