In this study, I have proposed the lasting development and aims of Korean medical tourism which has involved the growth process with forty thousand million dollars. In order to find out the properties, I have extracted the multiple properties of the medical tourism and I have examined the improvement plans which are needed for revitalizing the medical tour attractions.
The previous studies showed that medical tourism had some merits which gave cheap medical treatment as well as sightseeing or relaxation in the area. They explained that many medical tour countries had achieved the activation of tourist industry with the medical operations. In these days,
we could realize that Korea is concerned about the medical tourism which will enhance national glory and bring the obtaining of foreign money.
I have found out that Korea will gain the global competitiveness with the traditional oriental medical treatment, the unorthodox medicine and the hot-spring therapy in my survey. In order to develop the medical tourism successfully, I have proposed that Korea will consider measure with the medical institution and medical accident, and will have to remove the controls which involved the medical industry because Korea has already had the excellent competitive medical equipment, medical institution, medical services and data processing. A key factor of the survey's positive results are that Korea really has marketable advantages for the foreign medical tourism and regulation of the profit-making corporation, the various tourist attractions. The survey, however, has showed the negative results on some group which doesn't have immediate connection with the medical tourism.
