창의인성 함양을 위한 오감활용 실과 수업에 관한 연구

This study conducted creativity and personality education through cooking activity using five senses with elementary school students in order to provide basic materials for improving their creativity and personality. It examined the factors of creativity and personality and thinking methods for creativity to be cultivated in the area of home economics through the analysis of previous studies. Contents of creativity and personality education using five senses were developed and applied to the fifth graders for fostering their creativity and personality. Teaching and learning process model of 'Making a creative egg canape' was presented as one of creativity and personality education contents using five senses. The subjects considered and used their five senses in the whole process of selecting the theme of food and its materials, making a creative food and evaluating it. Cooking activity using five senses was helpful in developing children's sensitivity and senses and cultivating their creativity and the subjects experienced how to live with others including communication, consideration of others and cooperation by participating in the process of making food. Therefore, how to use five senses was important in the process of cooking and understanding of subjects consuming the food as well as nutrition, health, hygiene and environment was also needed in the class using five senses. It was found that creative thinking was developed and personality based on consideration and sharing of others will be also fostered with the basic knowledge and experience of the various areas in the process of making food. As a result, practical arts education using five senses will cultivate creativity and personality and enhance children's interest in practical arts subjects. It is also considered that applying the various contents of practical arts curriculum to five senses centered experience activity will contribute to the development of practical arts education.
