This study analyzes the 2024 operational performance of the Geumcheon Fashion Manufacturing Support Center and explores strategies to enhance the sustainable competitiveness of Seoul’s fashion manufacturing industry. Historically, Geumcheon served as a central hub for Korea’s apparel and sewing industry, but its competitiveness has declined due to rising labor costs, offshore production, and an aging workforce. To address these challenges, the center was established to provide production support and strengthen the regional industrial base. The performance analysis highlights three key outcomes: (1) improved production efficiency through CAM-based automated cutting services and shared equipment; (2) networking and entrepreneurial support by facilitating collaboration, business matchmaking, and entrepreneurial incubation; and (3) the evolution into an ecosystem platform that integrates production capability, entrepreneurship, and industrial connectivity. Based on these findings, the study proposes strategic directions, including smart manufacturing adoption, workforce renewal, network expansion, and sustainabilitydriven practices. These results suggest that the center has moved beyond its role as a facility provider and has become a pivotal platform for reinforcing Seoul’s fashion manufacturing ecosystem.
