    The purpose of this paper is to elucidate the role and function of lexical classified system in the process of the meaning extension of words. In the theory of Generative Lexicon(Pustejovsky 1993, 1995), the construction of the word meaning is represented by `Qualia structure` and the extensional meaning of the word is the result of the operation of `Qualia structure`. In this respect the regular polysemy can be explained by `Qualia structure`. In this paper I accepted `Qualia structure`, but I altered `Qualia structure` into construction of word meaning that included lexical classified system. This revised construction is useful for explaining extensional polysemy(polysemy that occured meaning extension), because the cases of extensional polysemy have a close connection with lexical classified system.
