I checked on the map the areas where the same clothes patterns with those of Gojosun were found and the areas where the same clothes as Gojosun were produced and worn. By doing so, and by combining facts about those areas,I could outline the regions of Gojosun.
From the map above, the following ideas can be deduced;
First, the distribution of the relics which are specific to Gojosun reveals that Gojosun was bordered by Soksan region, such as Nanha riverside, which separated Gojosun from China and that Gojosun spread all over Korean peninsula and the entire Manju. This is consistent with the area of Gojosun confirmed in other documents. This also agrees with the area of Gojosun outlined by the archaeologic documents based on the excavation sites of mandolin-shaped copper swords, bronze mirrors, and figure-engraved pottery of Gojosun. This proves Gojosun’s area is re-confirmed by the data of clothes, cloth materials and clothing styles.
Second, among the cloth materials, spindle is the relic found from the New Stone age to the Bronze Age, whereas the ornaments and armor pieces are of Iron age which followed the Bronze Age, and all these relics show the same distribution as to where they were found. Also, the excavation sites of the ornaments and the production sites of the cloth materials made by using the same tools are identical, as well as being consistent with the regions that show the same clothing styles.
This proves that the group of people who produced and used such cloth materials had been dwelling in that area forming their own clothing culture and that these people were residents who formed a country in which they shared common political system.
The idea clarified above proves that Korean people formed their unique clothing culture residing in Korean peninsula and the entire Manju area, ever since the New Stone age, and also that they came to form a single ethnic group in the Bronze age by founding Gojosun.
