인구의 사회‧경제적 특성과 노인체육 = Socio-Economic Characteristics of Population and Physical Education for Old Man

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was demographical consideration on the physical education for old man. To achieve this, we analyzed socio-ecomomic characteristics of population and spatial pattern of migration in Korea. We also analyzed the determinants of migration and aging population in Korea. Migration factor helps understanding the difference between urban and rural areas. And we used a new concept, in other words, 'spatial competitiveness' to explain spatial pattern of migration in Korea. Theoretical and empirical analysis proved causality between jobs and migration, and migration is the most important factor of spatial competitiveness. Migration and spatial competitiveness creates the difference between urban and rural areas. So migration and spatial competitiveness-based approaches necessary for us to develop physical education for old man. And to develop of physical education for old man taking into consideration ages and geographical accessibility. We suggested several basic directions for physical education for old man. And we suggested the meaning and concept of aging society for physical education for old man. Cardinal direction was compatible development of physical education for old man with socio-economic characteristics of population, spatial pattern of migration.
