      This study is to find strategies to promote learning outcome in the online learning environment. The problems of this research are: 1. Does the learner\ s perception of a sense of community in online learning environments relate to learning effectiveness? 2. Does the learner\ s perception of learning readiness in online learning environments relate to learning effectiveness? 3. Does the learner\ s perception of a sense of community and learning readiness in online learning environments differ in influence on the learning effectiveness? To solve the problems, this study collected data using the Classroom and School Community Inventory, the Readiness for Online Learning Survey, the Effectiveness for Online Learning Testing from 155 tenth-grade highschool students in an online learning situation. Various data were collected and analyzed by using questionnaires. According to this research, there was significant correlation between the learner\ s perception of a sense of community and learning effectiveness (r = .759, p < .01). The learner\ s perception of learning readiness and learning effectiveness (r = .638, p < .01) appeared to have a statistically significant correlation. Learning effectiveness influenced the learner\ s perception of a sense of community. Between the two subordinate factors of a sense of community, namely, classroom community and school community, the classroom community had more influence than school community on the learning effectiveness. However, learning effectiveness did not influenced the learner\ s perception of learning readiness.

      본 연구는 온라인 학습 환경에서 학습자의 공동체의식과 학습준비도가 학습효과와 어떤 관계가 있는가를 실증적으로 조사하는 것이었다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 온라인 학습 환경의 방송통신고등학교 1학년 학생 155명을 대상으로 교실공동체 검사, 학습준비도 검사, 학습효과 검사 등을 실시하였으며 연구 문제에 따라 상관분석과 회귀분석 방법을 사용하여 자료를 분석하였다. 연구 결과 첫째, 온라인 학습 환경에서 학습자의 공동체 의식과 학습효과 간에는 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다(r = .759, p < .01). 둘째, 온라인 학습 환경에서 학습자의 학습준비도와 학습효과 간에도 정적 상관이 있었다(r = .638, p < .01). 셋째, 온라인 학습 환경에서 공동체의식과 학습준비도 변인을 동시에 고려하여 상대적 영향력을 분석한 결과 학습공동체 의식은 학습효과에 영향을 미치는 변 인이었다. 특히 교실공동체 의식이 학교공동체 의식에 비해 학습효과에 더 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 학습준비도는 학습효과에 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 이와 같은 연구 결과는 중등교육을 위한 온라인 학습 환경에서 학습공동체 변인을 고려한 교수전략이 요구되고 있음을 시사하고 있다.
