18세기 초 通信使의 파견과 慶尙道의 재정 부담 = Dispatching Envoys and Financial Payment by Gyeongsang-Province in the Early of 18th Centuries

Gyeongsang-province paid the most among other province. The financial payment consisted of Presents, Banjeon and Bokjeong. Presents consisted of the ginsengs, fabrics, clothes and daily necessities. The cost of the presents exceeded 30,000 Ryang(兩) on average. In comparison the cost of the envoys in 1711 was 22,916 Ryang(兩).
The Banjeon needed for dispatching the envoys is the apparel, traveling expenses and Bokjung which is the necessities for the members of envoys. The costs of Banjeon is estimated to be more or less than 20,000 Ryang. Out of them Gyeongsang-province paid 10,708 Ryang(兩). And the Bokjung by Gyeongsang-province was the 165 pieces of the 193 pieces. It was 85.5% among other province.
The envoys were provided with horses and the laborers from the transfortational center, Yukcham(驛站) walking along the main street. Some horses were supplied from the central government or neighberhood, but most of them were from Yukcham. It was important to consider the place providing Kisun-ships(騎船) and Boksun-ships(卜船) to Busanjin(釜山鎭) and the costs paying for manufacturing and repairing the ships. This paper considers the distribution of this region, and the demographics. Moreover, this paper presents the way to estimate the total amount for the envoys in each session and studys the historical meaning of finance.
