건강신념모델을 적용한 임상간호사의 손씻기 수행 관련요인 분석 = Analysis of Related Factor with Practice of Handwashing by Clinical Nurses based on Health Belief Model

Purpose: The purpose of this study is the analysis of related factors with the practice of handwashing by clinical nurses based on Health Belief Model(HBM). Method: The subjects of the study were included in 171 clinical nurses at the hospital in Seoul, May 10 to 20, 2003, using self-reported question. Result: The means of health belief variables that perceived susceptibility 4.73, perceived benefit 4.66, perceived severity 4.27, cue to action 3.13, perceived barrier 1.94. The mean score of practice was 4.35. Perceived susceptibility and perceived benefit had a positive correlation with practice of handwashing in the clinical nurses. Perceived barrier had a negative correlation statistically with practice of handwashing when lower perceived barrier and cue to action was positively correlated to practice of handwashing. The influencing variables of practical ratio were perceived susceptibility, perceived benefit, perceived barrier, and cue to action. The important variables in practice of handwashing were perceived benefit, perceived barrier, duration of work, and cue to action, explain 7.5%. Conclusion: Perceived susceptibility, perceived benefit, perceived barrier, and cue to action of HBM were most influencing factors and important predictable factors.
