노년기부부 관계향상을 위한 교육 프로그램에 참가한 노년기부부의 학습과정에 대한 질적 연구 = Qualitative Study on the Learning Process of a Marriage Enrichment Program for the Elderly Married Couples

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine a marriage enrichment program that can be applied to the actual lives of the elderly married couples, as well as adopted in elderly welfare programs. At first, the program was developed and practised in  2 elderly welfare centers in Kyunggido. The data is collected from 10 elderly married couples. In this program they were supposed to have meetings twice a week and this  for four weeks consecutively. The study is based on qualitative study, so  that the following result  with reference to the learning process of  elderly married couples  was found.
The findings of the study are included: women tried to realize self-actualization much more than men and they found their life-satisfaction through the couple-relationship. But the men played their fixed traditional role in everyday life furthermore.
With this program you can achieve following impacts: first, the elderly have a chance to reflect and to project themselves. Second, they are able to perceive new couple-relationship. Third, to learn new action- and conversational skills, forth, to have new life-perspective and at last, to experience the growth of the couple-relationship. In conclusion, this study suggests that marriage enrichment program for  elderly married couples should be spread in biographical narrative learning.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 고령화사회에서 새로운 역할이나 관계형성이 새로운 학습의 과업으로 주어져 있는 노년기부부의 학습과정을 통하여, 평생학습시대에 노인교육현장에서 활용할 수 있는 내러티브적인 노인교육방법을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 노년기부부는 전체 가구의 43%를 차지하며 노년기부부중심의 가족형태가 점차 일반화되는 경향을 나타내고 있다. 그러므로 성공적이고 행복한 노년기부부의 관계를 만들어가기 위해서는 삶의 맥락에 의하여 부부가 계속적이고 연속적인 고유성의 원칙에 기초를 둔 새로운 삶의 의미를 만들어내야 하는 내러티브(narrative) 학습이 필요해 지고 있다. 연구를 위한 자료는 경기도 지역에 위치한 2개의 노인복지관에서 2004년 8월과 10월에 3 집단을 대상으로 노년기부부 10쌍과 함께 실시한 교육 프로그램에서 수집하였고, 총 24회기 동안의 학습과정을 녹취하고 전사하여 원자료로 삼았고, 관찰일기를 통하여 그룹의 역동을 분석하였다. 이러한 학습자중심 교육은 노년기부부가 반성을 통하여 새로운 시각에서 조화로운 부부가 될 수 있는 학습의 기회를 제공한 것으로 평가되므로, 앞으로 노인을 위한 평생학습기관에서는 형식적 교육보다는 노인 스스로가 문제를 찾아내고 해결할 수 있는 내러티브 교육방법이 활성화되어야 할 것을 제안한다.
