교육불평등(Educational Inequality)에 대처하기 위한 정책적 대응방안의 모색: 교육불평등 유발요인의 탐색 및 선진국 정책사례들로부터의 벤치마킹(Benchmarking)

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 현재 계층 간, 지역 간, 집단 간에 심화되고 있는 교육불평등에 대처하기 위해서 우리나라의 교육불평등 정도를 측정해보고 이러한 교육불평등에 영향을 미치는 요인과 교육불평등 대처정책에 대한 관련자들의 만족도를 논의하며, 다음에는 미국의 Head Start 프로그램 등 선진국의 교육불평등 대처 사례들을 분석하고 벤치마킹(benchmarking)하며, 이를 토대로 교육불평등에 체계적으로 대처할 수 있는 정책적 대응방안을 모색하려는 것이다.
이러한 총괄 연구목적을 가진 본 연구과제는 현재 총 8편의 학술연구논문으로 작성이 되었으며, 이 중에서 3편은 이미 한국연구재단 등재지에 게재가 확정되어 출판이 되었으며, 3편은 심사를 완료하고 게재가 확정되어 금년 내로 출간이 될 예정이다. 그리고 1편은 심사중에 있으며, 1편은 투고를 중비중에 있다. 따라서 연구기간 내에 정해진 연구실적을 초과 달성할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to narrate the deepening educational inequality in terms of strata, regions, and groups, in order to explore the policies to tackle diverse kinds of educational inequality in Korea. To the end, this study examined the level and causes of educational inequality in Korea and conducted the case study on the Head Start Program of the United States, as a way of benchmarking to tackle educational inequality.
The outcomes of this study resulted in the writing of eight separate articles: three of them were already published in peer-reviewing academic journals, whereas three other articles are sheduled to be published by the end of this year. Besides, one article is under examination and the other one is in preparation of contribution to academic journals. Thus, this study is expected to accomplish the original object within a set period.
