청소년 미니홈피, 블로그의 사회관계 및 일상문화; 중학생 이용자의 사례를 중심으로 = Teenagers' Social Relations and Everyday Life Culture in Minihompies and Blogs : A Case Study on Middle School Student Users

This thesis is a qualitative research on a teenagers' social relations and everyday life culture in Minihompies and Blogs, that is approaching teenagers' minihompies and blogs from the viewpoint of ‘community’, rather than one of a personal media. This study is performed through unstructured interviewing with twelve middle school students who are minihompi or blog users. The concrete analyses consist of three parts: forming as digital generation, social relations, and everyday life culture in minihompies and blogs of teens users. In summary, teenagers' minihompies and blogs show a new culture of the digital generation which is characterized by familiarity with digital media and on-line communities. They are also remarkably postmodern in the sense that their online relations show prominent network individualism and their everyday life culture has a specific image-oriented, tribalism and self-exposure. On the other hand, teenagers' minihompies and blogs are based on existing off-line relations, and they have a non-individual culture such as a wrong contents copy, an obsessional hompi decoration and indiscreet private disclosure.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 청소년 이용자의 미니홈피·블로그에 대한 질적 연구로서, 청소년 미니홈피·블로그의 사회관계 및 일상문화를 커뮤니티의 관점에서 접근하고 있다. 질적인 심층분석을 위해 본 연구는 10대 중학생 이용자 20명 각각에 대한 비구조화된 심층면접을 통해 디지털세대로서 청소년층의 형성, 청소년 이용자들의 미니홈피·블로그 사회관계, 그리고 청소년 이용자의 미니홈피·블로그에서 나타나는 이중적인 일상문화를 구체적으로 분석하고 있다. 이에 따른 결론적 논의는 다음과 같다. 우선, 미니홈피와 블로그를 이용하는 청소년들은 컴퓨터나 인터넷, 온라인 커뮤니티에 친숙한 디지털 세대의 특징을 보여주고 있다. 청소년 이용자의 미니홈피·블로그 사회관계는 개인지향적인 인간관계 및 개인관심사에 기반한 새로운 사회성의 차원을 보여주고 있다. 그리고 청소년 이용자들의 미니홈피·블로그 일상문화는 이미지주의와 새로운 부족주의로의 몰입, 자기표현의 강조라는 탈현대적인 일상문화의 특징들을 드러내고 있다. 또다른 한편으로, 청소년 이용자의 미니홈피·블로그는 기존의 오프라인 사회관계를 유지·재생산하는 차원이 강할 뿐 아니라 무분별한 펌문화 및 강박적인 홈피꾸미기, 사생활 노출같은 비개인화된 일상문화가 혼존하고 있다.
