치매환자를 돌보는 요양보호사의 낙상에 대한 태도,낙상예방 돌봄 행위 및 위험예지 = Attitude Toward Falls, Caring Behaviors for Fall Prevention,and Risk Perception on Caregivers Who care for Patientswith Dementia

The purpose of this study is to investigate the attitudes of falls, caring behaviors for fall prevention, and risk perception on caregivers in nursing homes. Participants were 175 care helpers who attended in the dementia education program held by the National Health Insurance Corporation. Data collection is from March 25, 2017 to July 15, 2017. The collected data were analyzed using frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, using SPSS/WIN 24.0 computer program. The attitude of falls of the caregivers caring for dementia patients in nursing homes was 3.70± 0.37points out of 5 points. Caring behaviors for fall prevention were 3.51±0.44 points out of 4 points. However, the risk perception of falling was 6.15±2.71 out of 19 point. Based on the results of this study, an education program to secure fall safety for care helpers needs to improve attitudes and caring behaviors for fall prevention. In addition, by strengthening the training on the risk perception of the fall situation, it should be developed to prevent the fall and reduce the fall rate.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문의 목적은 요양병원에서 치매 환자를 돌보는 요양보호사의 낙상에 대한 태도, 낙상예방 돌봄 행위, 낙상상황에 대한 위험예지에 대해 확인하는 것이다. 연구 참가자들은 건강보험공단에서 개최하는 치매전문교육 프로그램을 수강한 요양보호사로 총 175명으로 구성되었다. 자료수집기간은 2017년 3월 25일부터 7월 15일까지이다. 수집된 데이터는 SPSS/WIN 24.0 컴퓨터 프로그램을 사용하여 빈도, 백분율, 평균, 표준편차로 산출하였다. 요양병원에서 치매 환자를 돌보는 요양보호사의 낙상에 대한 태도는 5점 만점을 기준으로 3.70±0.37점이었다. 낙상예방에 대한 돌봄 행위는 4점 만점을 기준으로 3.51±0.44점이었다. 하지만 낙상에 대한 위험예지는 19점 만점을 기준으로 6.15±2.71점이었다. 본 연구결과에 기반하여 요양보호사를 대상으로 낙상에 대한 안전을 확보하는 교육 프로그램은 낙상에 대한 태도와 돌봄 행위를 향상시킬 필요가 있다. 더불어 낙상상황에 대한 위험예지에 대한 훈련을 강화함으로서 실제적으로 낙상을 예방하고 낙상발생률을 줄일 수 있도록 개발되어야겠다.
