시간제보육의 필요성과 그 활성화 방안 모색

국문 초록 (Abstract)

수요자중심의 보육에 관한 관심이 증가하면서 보육의 질과 더불어 다양한 보육서비스에 대한 관심도 높아져 왔다. 기존의 보육욕구조사에 의하면, 시간제보육은 다양한 보육서비스 중 부모들의 욕구가 매우 높은 보육형태이다. 고용형태의 다양화나 여성의 사회활동 증가, 가족의 양육기능 약화는 종일제보육 이외의 일시적인 보육을 필요로 하고 있다. 그러나 현실적으로 시간제보육에 대한 정보나 연구는 거의 없는 상태이다.
이에 본 연구는 시간제보육을 제공하는 시설에 대한 심층면접을 통해 시간제보육의 필요성을 파악하기 위해 이용자특성, 이용현황과 문제점, 운영상의 문제점 등에 대해 살펴보고자 하였다. 또한 조사결과 및 시간제보육이 활성화된 외국의 사례를 참고하여, 시간제보육의 활성화를 위해 제도적으로 고려해야 할 점과 방향을 제시하고자 하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The concern about various types of child care services has been increasing with the increase of the concern about consumer-centered child care. According to precedent researches, the temporary child care is one of the most favored types of child care parents need. The increasing of diverse employment types and women's work and engagements in social activities, and the weakening of family function for child care all the more make the temporary child care indispensable. Nevertheless, necessary informations for the temporary child care centers are scarcely given to parents and suitable researches on it are rarely made.
We have made a research on the need for the temporary child care through interviews with runners and employees of child care centers supplying part time child care, in order to make certain of the features of part time care users, the present using situations, and difficulties of administration and so on. This article suggests, as a result of this research and with some references to the foreign countries' experiences and exemplars, a would-be direction and necessary important considerations if the temporary child care should be institutionalized.
