과학자-실무자 모델의 국내 적용 가능성에 관한 논의 = A Discussion on the Possibility of Applying the Scientist-Practitioner Model in Korea

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This is a literature review on the scientist-practitioner model, describing how the model was created and developed and what issues were discussed up to date. The split between the science and the practice in graduate program as well as in the real world, and the different paradigms between the scientists and the practitioners were some of the problems that the model has been criticized for. Strategies to deal with such problems were discussed. The paper discusses how the scientist-practitioner model relates to the counselor training and education in Korea, also suggesting ways to adapt the model to fit the current situation. It also emphasized the need for a consistent dialogue among the professionals in counseling psychology regarding the training, the real life application, and the future of counseling psychology in Korea.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 상담 및 심리치료 분야의 가장 대표적인 교육 모델인 과학자-실무자 모델의 생성 배경과 변천 과정을 소개하고, 이 모델이 실행되는 과정에서 지금까지 어떠한 논의가 이루어져 왔는지 설명하였다. 그리고 대학원 과정과 실무 현장에서 나타난 상담심리학의 과학적 측면과 실무적 측면 간의 괴리, 그리고 연구자와 실무자 간의 서로 다른 패러다임의 사용 등이 과학자-실무자 모델의 효율적인 실행에 있어 문제점으로 나타났고, 그에 대한 어떠한 대책과 제언이 이루어졌는지 소개하였다. 우리나라의 상담자 교육 현실과 과학자-실무자 모델 간의 차이를 제시하고, 우리 실정에 적합한 모델로서 과학자-실무자 모델이 어떻게 적용될 것인가에 대한 제안을 함과 더불어 상담심리학 분야의 전문가들을 중심으로 합의된 상담자 교육 방향과 상담심리학의 정체성을 논의할 필요가 있음을 강조했다.
