마그립 지역 영화를 통해 본 아랍인의 의식구조 연구 = A study on the Arabian`s way of thinking through the Maghrib Cinema

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Generally speaking we can talk about the open door degree of the Arab world through women`s veils. Maghrib region is relatively much open to the outside world under influence of the western Europe because it had been a French colony for more than a half century including the first half of the twentieth century. But in the Maghrib region that has been more open than the other Islamic societies exists also latent control mechanism of society whose main element is public gaze. And behind this control the speech and action are closely connected with the religious traditions. Because the Maghrib society is consisted of Arabs, Arabized African natives and native Berber tribes, racially it has an African trend, culturally is based on the Islamic religion, and its social system imitates the western Europe under the influence of the modern colonialism. The changes of Arabs that I have watched through the Maghrib Cinema are not largely contrary to the traditional Islamic living style. Nay, they are rather interested in the other`s matters and are concerned in them. That is to say, It seems that the outward changes of the Maghrib society are big but the internal ones are nearly not found.
