산업 융합 수단으로써의 디자인 이해를 위한 사고실험

국문 초록 (Abstract)

현재의 산업적 움직임을 일컬어 4차 산업 혁명기라고 한다. 사회적 지평으로써 이미 익숙한 용어이지만 아직 현재진행형이며 최초의 선언적 산업 변화기이다. 그렇기 때문에 이전의 혁명적 산업 변화가 대표하는 농업, 대량 생산, 정보기술과 같은 핵심을 짚는 것이 불가능하다. 따라서 본 논문으로 기술된 연구의 목적은 이러한 산업적 변화에 대하여 디자인은 이를 어떻게 인식하고 이해해야 할 것인지에 대한 문제의식에서 비롯되었으며 현 시점에서 디자인과 산업과의 관계 그리고 이를 융합할 수 있는 수단으로써의 이해의 근거를 제시하기 위해서이다.
이를 위하여 서론에서의 연구 배경을 바탕으로 본론에서 지금까지 산업의 근본 구조 변화에 따른 디자인의 역할과 인식 변화를 사고과정을 통해 정리하였다. 사고실험은 이렇게 정리된 내용이 담고 있는 문제점이나 한계를 공유하고 증명하는 것이다. 정리결과 디자인은 산업 변화에 대하여 융합 수단적 효용성을 통해 산업적 가치를 증명하는 측면이 있음을 알 수 있었다.
연구 결과 및 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 현재 산업환경에서의 디자인은 감각이며 감성적인 영역에 까지 논리적이며 이성적 영역으로 편입될 수 있다는 가능성을 논하는 단계까지 와있다는 점이다. 둘째, 이러한 현상은 디자인의 태생적 특성과 배치되는 것이기 때문에 이에 대한 새로운 접근과 이해가 필요하게 되었다는 것이다. 이를 논하기 위해 산업 변화와 디자인의 관계를 변증법적으로 사고하고 이에 근거한 결과를 도출하였다. 본 연구 결과를 바탕으로 디자인 방법론과 해석에 대한 새로운 지평을 형성해 나가는 데 기초적인 논거가 될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The current industrial movement is called the fourth industrial revolution period. As a social horizon, it is a familiar term, but it is still in progress and is the first declarative industrial change. That is why it is impossible to point out the cores of agriculture, mass production, and information technology, as represented by previous revolutionary industrial changes. Therefore, the purpose of the research described in this paper stems from the question of how design should recognize and understand this industrial change. This is to provide a standard.
To this end, based on the research background in the introduction, the role of design and the change of perception according to changes in the fundamental structure of the industry have been summarized through the thought process. Thinking experiments are to share and prove the problems or limitations contained in this summary. As a result of the theorem, it was found that design has the aspect of proving industrial value through the convergence and utility of industrial change.
The results and contents of the study are as follows. First, the design in the current industrial environment has reached the stage of discussing the possibility that it can be incorporated into the logical and rational domain even in the sense and emotional domain. Second, since this phenomenon is contrary to the inherent characteristics of design, a new approach and understanding is needed. To discuss this, the relationship between industrial change and design was considered dialectically, and results based on this were drawn. Based on the results of this study, it is expected that it will be a basic basis for forming a new horizon for design methodology and interpretation.
