방송사 공개오디션 프로그램의 비교분석을 통한 문제점 및 발전방안 연구 : 대중음악 가수오디션 프로그램을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

2009년 슈퍼스타K의 흥행 성공으로 인하여 최근 3~4년간 국내 방송사들은 다양한 해외 오디션 프로그램의 방식을 도입하여 경쟁적으로 공개오디션 프로그램들을 제작․방영하였다. 다양한 장르의 오디션 프로그램에는 수 많은 일반인들이 참가하는 것은 물론, 현업으로 활동하고 있는 연예인들도 본인이 하지 활동하지 않는 장르의 오디션 프로그램에 적극적으로 참여하고 인기가 상승할 만큼 오디션 프로그램은 대단한 인기를 얻었다.
그러나 유사한 진행방식과 진부한 스토리 전개 등으로 인하여 오디션 프로그램에 대한 관심이 점점 줄어들고 있는 것이 현실이다.
본 연구에서는 많은 종류의 오디션 프로그램 중에서 대중음악 가수오디션 프로그램을 중심으로 지상파와 케이블방송의 대표적인 오디션 프로그램을 시즌별로 현황, 심사방식, 입상자들의 지원 및 활동, 가수로써의 현재 활동 현황 등을 비교분석 하였다. 이러한 분석을 통해 각 방송사에서 방영되고 있는 공개오디션 프로그램들의 문제점을 첫째, 대중들이 요구하는 다양한 장르의 음악을 수용하지 못하고 있다. 둘째, 음악외적인 요소들이 심사요소로 반영되는 등의 객관적이지 못한 심사기준으로 심사의 신뢰성이 상실되고 있다. 셋째, 그 외 오디션 프로그램의 한계 등 세 가지 항목으로 제시하였다.
문제점 파악에 따른 발전방안을 제시한 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 다양한 장르의 음악을 수용할 수 있는 장르별 오디션 실시를 통하여, 장르의 한계를 극복하고 균형 있는 음악 장르와 참가자들을 확보하며, 장르별 전문가를 통하여 심사를 한다.
둘째, 음악이 주(主)가 되는 음악오디션을 통하여, 음악 외에 다른 소재에 집중되는 것을 방지해야 하며, 음악을 우선순위에 놓고 오디션 프로그램을 방송해야한다.
셋째, 입상자의 체계적인 음악활동을 지원하여, 우승자에게만 주어지는 상금과 상품을 분배하여 생방송에 진출하는 입상자 모두에게 음악활동과 음악방송에 출연할 수 있는 기회를 제공한다.
위의 문제점과 발전방안을 통하여 기존의 오디션 프로그램의 방식에서 벗어나 시청자들과 대중들의 흥미와 관심을 다시 주목 받는 것에 도움이 되길 바란다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Owing to the success in performance of Super Star K in 2009, the domestic broadcasting companies have competitively produced and broadcasted the public audition programs by adopting a method of various overseas audition programs for the recent 3~4 years. The audition program gained great popularity enough for even field entertainers to positively participate in audition program in a genre that they were not active, as well as what numerous general people participate in audition programs in diverse genres.
However, it is the reality that an interest in audition program is decreasing due to the similar progression method and the old-fashioned story development.
This study comparatively analyzed the present status by season, a screening method, prize winners' application and activity, and the present status of the current activity as a singer as for representative audition programs on terrestrial TV and cable broadcasting focusing on audition programs for popular singers among diverse audition programs. Second, reliability of screening is being lost due to the non-objective screening criteria such as what elements except music are reflected as examination element. Third, three items were suggested additionally such as the limit of audition program.
The following are the results that suggested developmental plans according to grasping problems.
First, it overcomes the limit of genre through carrying out genre-based audition available for accepting music in diverse genres, secures the balanced music genre and participants, and examines through genre-based expert.
Second, there is a need of preventing it from being concentrated on other material except music through music audition of having music as the mainstream, and of broadcasting audition program with giving priority to music. Third, there is a need of supporting prize winners' systematic music activity, of distributing prize money and trophy, which are given only to a champion, and of offering an opportunity for all the prize winners of advancing to the live broadcast to possibly appear on music broadcasting in addition to music activity.
The problems and the developmental plans in the above are desired to be likely conducive to receiving attention again with being interested and concerned by viewers and people, with escaping from the existing audition program method.
