This study was conducted as an empirical study to respond to the request of large corporations to participate in the project to support the adoption of AI by SMEs by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. It analyzed the impact of barriers and cognitive structures that appear in the process of AI adoption by SMEs and manufacturing companies on their willingness to participate in government support policies using a structural equation model.
The research results confirmed that the perceived usefulness and necessity of AI adoption are key factors in determining the willingness to participate in policy, indicating that the willingness of SMEs to participate in AI projects is determined by the level of awareness.
Based on the research results, this study suggests a feasible AI transition strategy tailored to the level of SMEs. This suggests that for the government's AI expansion policy to be effective, it needs to be implemented based on companies' awareness and experience.
