This study explored the transition experience of supervision by analyzing qualitative studies on the counseling supervision experience using the metacultural technology journal method. To this end, 13 of the domestic qualitative studies published in KCI from 2005 to 2024 were selected, and the 7-step procedure of Novlit and Hare (1988) and Schlossberg's 4S model (situation, individual, support, strategy) were applied as analysis frameworks. As a result of the analysis, supervision was found to be a transitional growth experience in which supervision deepened and integrated expertise and identity as a counselor beyond the dimension of meeting institutional requirements. A total of 13 technical and four dimensional themes were derived from each 4S element, and specifically, the three-dimensional themes were derived: 'Expectations for Passive Ritual Gates and Role Transition' in the situation, 'gradual self-understanding and reflection and discovery of possibilities' in the individual, 'growth promotion, efficacy recovery and learning' in support, and 'feedback acceptance, self-exposure strategies and learning' in strategy.
