니트 패션에 나타난 데포르마시옹(Deformation)에 관한 연구 = A Study on Déformation in Knit Fashion

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is aimed to understand the concept and characteristics of déformation, to examine aesthetic value of the images of Fauvisme and to investigate the objective characteristic of déformation in knit fashion. The study results showed that the characteristics of déformation in knit fashion include enlargement, satire and grotesque.
First, the enlargement appeared in a way that the shape is intentionally distorted beyond common sense and some parts of the human body are exaggerated and figured in a bizarre manner. These expressions can be regarded as the enlarged pattern of the open views which can be interpreted in various ways depending on the artist's emotional expression and the observer's experience.
Second, the satire is understood as the knit designer's intention to point out and scorn all absurdity and wrongdoing in human life, especially in this society as well as to introspect human inside that has suggestive effects.
Third, the grotesque is a motive to indicate death, disease or darkness, which raises the questions of nihilism including the awareness of social crisis and sense of frustration as well as those alienated and inhibited.
