외국인노동자의 다양성관리에 관한 실증연구： 수용성 요인의 조절효과 중심으로 = A Substantive Study on the Management of Diversity of Foreign Laborers: Focused on Moderating Effects of Factors of Acceptability

The purpose of the research study is to analyze differences in awareness levels according to the status of relationships with foreign laborers by classifying groups in relation to foreign laborers into the group with businessmen and managers employing foreign laborers; the Korean laborer group working with foreign laborers in the work spot field; the local community small business group where foreign laborers live everyday life; and the general group without the primary, direct and social relationships with foreign laborers.
The results of the study show that in case particular groups have close social relationships with foreign laborers or often encounter with them, there appears a rather low awareness level of acceptability and awareness about foreign laborers. It can be anticipated that the negative awareness about foreign laborers result from mutual real interests in association with competing for jobs or sharing a living space. Taking it into account, it is concluded that academic research needs to be considered of particular groups having frequent encounters like groups that make frequent exchanges with foreign laborers and/or share a living space with them. Furthermore, efforts must be made to raise acceptability of groups having broader and frequent contacts and exchanges with foreign immigrants.
The research findings of the study propose as follows. First, it needs to analyze the awareness level of various types of foreign laborers in many areas. Second, stereotactic research needs to understand and compare the awareness and thoughts that domestic and foreign laborers have, in order to identify the types of foreign laborers from more multiple angles. Lastly, longitudinal research with qualitative research is required in order to present more substantial and various results.
