운동발달 장애아동 어머니의 부모교육 경험과 물리치료 부모교육에 대한 욕구 조사 = Experiences of Parent Education and Needs of Physical Therapy Education for Mother Who Has Disabled Children

The purpose of this study was to investigate experiences of parent education and needs of physical therapy education for mother of disabled children. Data were obtained through the specially organized questionnaire. The questionnaire answered by 37 mothers who has child need to take physical therapy. Data analysis included frequency analysis and independent t-test by SPSSWIN 12.0 version. The major results were as follows: 21.6% of subjects did not make therapeutic exercise to their child in home. The mean time of home therapeutic exercise by family was 24.6 minutes in 1 day. 51.4% of subjects experienced parental education related to education and rehabilitation but, 37.8% of all subjects experienced parental education related to physical therapy. In question of what expected after parental education, 'to help to plan child's future' and 'to help to care child' were represented each 42.9%. They expected 'physical therapy methods in home'(34.3±20.3%), ‘guidance to make normal posture'(20.5±18.2%), and 'normal motor development'(20.2±13.7%) as the contents of physical therapy education. Mother of disabled children who need physical therapy want to learn physical therapy methods in home.
