다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract) kakao i 다국어 번역

This paper aims to examine the recognition of the End and the characteristics of Michel Houellebecq's writing in Les particules \acute{e}l\acute{e}mentaires. He tries to write focusing on the End of occidental society. Les particules elementaires (1998), the key to understanding Houellebecq's world, has caused a worldwide debate. Chapter II of this research is divided into four parts: fragmented human being, death to avoid pains, technology and sex as the last refuge, Brave new world. Chapter III shows that Houellebecq's writing is not a simple sum of disparate discourses but a contradictory writing of various segments and combinations. His narration, which seems as if it is broken because of interferences and collisions, aims for one target. Science and sociology, reality and fiction, personal history and History, the End and commencement, all of these heterogeneous and even contradictory discourses which consist of the folds of his writing encompass all conflicts. At last, this study reveals how the main theme is effectively transmitted and how his work acquires the universality.
