청소년 유해환경의 실태와 정책적 방안에 관한 연구 = An Investigation on the Harmful Environments to Adolescents and Their Relevant Policy-Measures

The purpose of this study is to review and revisit the last ten years’ studies on harmful environments that had negative impacts on adolescent's development. Such harmful environments include harmful media, drugs, facilities and behaviors. It is obvious that adolescents have been exposed to these different channels of harmful environments and had an easy access to them through on-line sites. Our adolescents have been permitted to use them in a frivolous manner as well. For a better understanding of the actual states of harmful environments and their adverse effects, a quantitative study over all ages with a clear definition is in order. Its results would reveal the detrimental effects these harmful environments have on both parent-adolescent and peer relationships. Most importantly, to create a sound family-value culture, the provision of well planned parent-education programs and a plenty of cultural places for improving adolescents' psycho-social and physical environments is in need. Moreover, legislative actions and supervision regulating harmful environments are urgently required.
