공자의 인인(仁) 사상과 공감능력회복 = Confucius`s thought of Ren and recovery of empathy ability

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 공자의 인仁의 사상을 공감능력이란 측면에서 논의를 전개하였다. 공자의 인심仁心을 현대용어로 따뜻한 마음으로 해석할 수 있다. 도덕적 규범이 진실한 의미를 가지기 위해서 인심仁心, 즉 따뜻한 마음이 전제가 되어야 한다. 이러한 따뜻한 마음이 빠져버린 도덕규범은 가식일 가능성이 많다. 우리는 늘 `사람답게` 살아야 한다는 말을 한다. 그것은 바로 `부끄러움`을 아는 것에서 시작된다고 할 수 있다. `부끄러 움`을 안다는 것은 나만의 생존과 자기중심적 이기심을 넘어서 남과 더불어 살아감을 고민하는 지점에서 나타난다. `부끄러움`이란 것은 바로 자신의 행위를 돌아보고 반성 하여 보다 나은 삶의 가치를 실현하고자 하는 `깨어있는 마음`을 가리키고, 남의 고통을 이해할 수 있는 공감능력이라고 할 수 있다. 이러한 깨어 있는 마음은 바로 우환의 식에서 발로하는 것이다. 진정한 도덕은 강한 삶의 책임감을 바탕으로 인간다움을 실 현하는 길이고, 그것은 자율성과 자발성에 근거한다. 이러한 자발적인 실천 수행을 통하여 스스로 `인간이 인간이 되는 길`, 즉 존엄성을 확보할 수 있고, 인간은 가치적 측 면에서 무한을 실현할 수 있다. 공자가 말하는 `인`은 바로 우리의 본심 즉 `인심`을 가리키고, 깨어있는 마음이고, 공감의식이라고 할 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This thesis discussed confucius`s thought of Ren(仁)in terms of the recovery of empathy ability. The RenXin(仁心) Confucius insisted can be interpreted as a warm heart in modern terms. A warm heart should be a precondition for having a real meaning of moral standards. If a warm heart falls out, the moral standard is likely to be a pretense. We always say that we should live like a human being. It begins with the realization of `Shame.` The realization of `Shame.` emerges a point where you worry about living with others, beyond my own survival and self-centered selfishness. The Shame indicates the self-awareness that reflect on his behavior, and realize the value of a better life. It is said to be empathy ability for understanding others` pain. It comes from the consciousness of worrying(憂患意識). The real moral is the way to realize human being based on a strong sense of responsibility. It is based on autonomy and spontaneity. We can secure the dignity of human beibg through voluntary self-cultivation, and realize the infinity in a valuable aspect. So, the Ren(仁) Confucius asserted indicates our real mind-heart, RenXin(仁 心). We can say that it is an awakened mind and a empathy ability.
