재난피해가족의 레질리언스 강화를 위한 사회복지실천 개입전략 탐색 = Study on Soclal Work Practice Strategies for Strengthening Resilience of Families in Disasters

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study explored a social work intervention strategies that could help disaster-stricken people and their families to overcome their crisis, challenges and traumatic loss, by using the family resilience approach. This study examined the cases of those survivors who thrived in spite of disasters since 1990s, using literatures in Korea. Walsh`s key processes in family resilience-family belief systems, organizational patterns and communication processes are applied for the analysis. The results identified that the families demonstrated key processes in family resilience-making meaning of adversity, positive outlook, transcendence and spirituality, flexibility, connectedness, social and economic resources, open emotional expression in their traumatic experiences and loss. Social work practice applications are described to suggest the broad utility of family resilience framework for intervention efforts to strengthen resilience of families in disasters.
