조선시대 지리지에 수록된 진산의 특성

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Koreans have always lived in close proximity to mountains. The importance of mountains has resulted in many records related to legendary mountains handed down from old times. However, to date, no comprehensive study of these mountains has been carried out. This study uses the topographies produced during the Joseon period, which are regarded as those with the most inclusive attributes and historicity, to analyze the characteristics of Jinsan(鎭山). This study for the most part revolves around the contents of the Sinjˇung tongguk yˇoji sˇungnam. However, a comparative analysis with the contents of Sejong sillok chiriji and Yˇoji tosˇo is also carried out with both qualitative and quantitative analyses. This study seeks to give form to the perceptions and attitudes of Korea’s forefathers towards Jinsan by analyzing the geographic characteristics and functions of Jinsan found in these topographies.
