『대동학회월보(大東學會月報)』소재한시(所載漢詩)에 대한 일고찰 = A Stidu on the Chinese poems recorded in the 『DaedongHakhoeWolbo』

This thesis examined the activity of DaedongHakhoe[大東學會], and the structure and contents of 『DaedongHakhoeWolbo』[大東學會月報], analyzed the feature of Chinese poems recorded in 『DaedongHakhoeWolbo』in order to observe an aspect of the pro-Japanese group`s literature.The DaedongHakHoe was established mainly by the pro-Japanese Confucian scholars in March, 1907, At that time of the establishment, the fact that it was supported by Ito Hirobumi[伊藤博] proves the pro-Japanese feature of the DaedongHakhoe. The 文DaedongHakhoe was rapidly developed through some regular lecture meetings and the publication of 『DaedongHakhoeWolbo』. But in October, 1909, it`s title was modified as Gongja-gyo[孔子敎] because of public criticism about Sin-giseon[申箕善], chairman of the DaedongHakhoe, and the resistance of elder Confucian scholars.The whole number of 130 Chinese poems are listed at the Sajo[詞藻] provision of 『DaedongHakhoeWolbo』. While contemporary other writers were revealing the concerns about national decay and the aspirations to restore sovereignty, however, those were not discovered at the Sajo provision. Instead, with advocating the reformation of Confucianism, the Chinese poems recorded in the DaedongHakhoeWolbo spoke for the policy 『』of the Residency-General[統監府] and made use of Japanese culture as a means of political propaganda to be transplanted into the Joseon. And also it neglected the doom of Joseon, and had Ito Hirobumi as the hero of East Asian. Many Chinese poems recorded in 『DaedongHakhoeWolbo』overshadowed the achievements of Chinese poems revealing the awareness of resistance in the patriotic enlightenment period.
