유아의 읽기능력 관련 변인에 관한 연구: 음운처리과정, 글자지식 및 언어능력을 중심으로 = A Study of Children's Reading Related Factors:Focused on Phonological Processing,Letter Knowledge, and Language Ability

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to investigate effects of phonological awareness, phonological coding, retrieval of phonological code, letter knowledge and general language ability on children's reading. For this purpose, 160 children(74 boys, 86 girls) aged 4(age range 48-59 months) and 5(age range 60-71 months)were tested for phonological processing(phonological awareness, phonological coding, retrieval of phonological code), letter knowledge(letter naming, correspondence between letter number -syllable number), language ability(receptive language ability, expressive language ability, language comprehension and cognition ability) and reading for 4 sessions.
The results indicated that the total score for phonological awareness correlated significantly with those of phonological coding, retrieval of phonological code, letter knowledge, language ability and a reading correlated significantly with overall scores on reading for 4-year olds. For 5-year-olds, the total score for phonological awareness, phonological coding, letter knowledge, and language ability correlated significantly with their reading ability. How many sub-areas of phonological processing, letter knowledge, and language ability influence reading was evaluated to find that for children aged 4, reading was most influenced by phonological awareness, followed by letter knowledge. Those aged 5, reading was most affected by letter knowledge, followed by phonological awareness.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

유아의 읽기에 영향을 미치는 음운처리과정, 글자지식, 언어능력의 설명력을 알아보기 위해 만4세 유아 51명, 만5세 유아 109명 총 160명을 대상으로 음운처리과정, 글자지식, 언어능력, 단어 읽기 검사를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 4세 집단의 경우 음운자각, 음운 부호화, 음운 부호의 인출, 글자지식, 언어능력이 단어 읽기와 유의한 상관이 있었으며 5세 집단의 경우 음운자각, 음운 부호화, 글자지식, 언어능력만이 읽기와 유의한 상관이 있었다. 4세 집단의 단어 읽기 총점에 대하여는 음운자각, 글자지식 순으로 설명력을 갖는 것으로 나타났으며 5세 집단의 단어 읽기 총점에 대하여는 글자지식, 음운자각 순으로 설명력을 갖는 것으로 나타났다.
