European countries have shown flexibility and deregulation in their luring methods to solve unemployment problem Nowadays workers would prefer non-standard jobs rather than standard jobs, so they would naturally be attracted to a typical hiring method. This might be true, but employers have been using that method to their advantage. The only thing that has been changed is just the title of the contract. Taking a closer look at working time, work place and environment, it can be known that there has not occurred any change. The non-standard work has resulted in new type of discrimination. Those workers are not able to enjoy the same treatment that comparable standard workers could do. These undesirable actions performed by the companies have made the EU interfere with and control the t e r n and conditions of employment. Some legislations have been introduced in order to protect non-standard workers from discriminative working environment. In this paper, there d l be a presentation of relevant guidelines and measurements by the EU to improve the current situation of the non-standard works such as part-time, fixed-term temporary agency and telework.
