오규원 시에 나타난 역사 인식 연구 － 사진 민요 역사기록에 내재된 이미지 변용을 중심으로－

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In Oh Kyu-wons poems, history is perceived as a part of long-standing poetic reasoning through the sociality of language and the impurity of language. In <Language and Life>, his collection of poems, he explains the relationship between words [language] and “historical facts” as a “chosen present.” For example, he explains the Korean folk songs as the nowness of “remaining values.” Oh Kyu-won thought that the transcendence of art is in the “reality” contained in the artwork. In his view, works of art choose nature, history, and even religion as a reality. At this time, history is also considered as a mimetic reality and replicated in each aesthetic form. He argued that art or history, which is replicated in such a way, is transformed into a reality of impurity.
In this context, this paper examined Oh Kyu-won’s poems on history. On the premise that his poems are based on recorded facts and chosen reality, this paper examined Oh Kyu-wons poems, written based on his personal and historical perspective, from the Siegfried Kracauer’s philosophy of history point of view. His poems were reorganizing the time and space of the historical past into the present through description. The artistic and aesthetic effect of his historical poems seemed to demand that his poems be reorganized into the universality of human life beyond the poetic dimension. This way of thinking is similar to the view of Kracauer who argued that “truth belongs to time and transcends time at the same time” based on the philosophy of history that compares history and photograph.
It was found in this paper that Oh Kyu-won uses the method of revealing historical events rather than interpreting them. Through this, an individuals historical experience is perceived as the capital letter “I”, and the actual historical events can be transformed into a poem as a “chosen reality.”
