Construction vibrations caused by pile driving, blasting, dynamic compaction and movements of large construction equipments may damage neighboring structures and young concrete. Consequently it will bring about delay of construction schedule and economic loss.
In this study, propagation characteristics of construction vibrations was examined and the influences to neighboring structures was studied.
Accordingly, vibration isolation methods to minimize the damage were proposed.
