창조적 패션디자인을 위한 한국의 패션디자인 교육모델 제안에 관한 연구 - 주요 패션선진국(영국, 프랑스, 이태리, 미국)과 한국의 사례 비교를 중심으로 -

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 산학연의 효율적 운용과 학제적 연구 및 문제해결 중심의 창의적 교육시스템을 성공적으로 실현하고 있는 유럽(영국, 프랑스, 이태리)과 미국을 중심으로 한 주요 패션교육기관의 교과과정 운영사례들을 한국의 패션교육과 비교고찰함으로써 해외 주요 패션교육기관의 선진적 패션디자인 교육사례를 벤치마킹 함과 동시에, 한국에 적합한 패션디자인 교육 모델을 제안해보는 데에 있다.
이로부터 국내 패션교육기관은 다음과 같은 측면에서 방향선회가 필요할 것으로 사료된다.
첫째, 패션디자인 교육의 특성화, 세분화가 요구된다.
둘째, 산업체와 연결된 현장중심의 수업으로 생산-디자인-유통 및 마케팅이 연계된 학제적 디자인 교육이 요청된다.
셋째, 해외 아웃소싱이나 글로벌 진출기회가 늘어나면서 급변하는 패션산업 환경에 적절히 대처할 수 있는 경쟁력 있는 글로벌 인재 육성이 요구된다.
넷째, 마켓중심의 실기교육과 더불어, 우리나라의 패션의 역사와 문화적 특성의 기반 위에서 창의성 개발이 강조되는 문화적 차원에서의 패션디자인 교육이 필요하겠다.
다섯째, 프로젝트 중심의 교육을 통해 과목 간 연계를 유도하며, 디자인 작업의 결과뿐 아니라 리서치 및 발전과정에 초점을 둔 문제해결형 인재 양성이 요구된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to bench-marking the leading fashion design educational cases of the renowned fashion schools, institutes, and universities in Europe and U.S and to suggest a fashion design educational model appropriate for Korea, by comparing the successful and creative educational systems of the main fashion institutions in European country (such as UK, France and Italy) and U.S with the one in Korea.
From this study Korean fashion educational institutions need to think over the following aspects in the future.
First, the characterization and subdivision in fashion design education will be required.
Second, the cooperative relationships with fashion industries and the interdisciplinary design educations will be necessary.
Third, it will be important to nurture competitive global designers, capable of meeting very rapid fashion environment in an era of internationalization.
Fourth, the fashion design education, based on Korean history and culture is needed.
Finally, it will be required to raise the problem-solving creative designers by the project-based education focusing on R & D.
