리하르트 슈트라우스 Op. 10 작품 연구 = A study on Op. 10 of Richard Strauss

국문 초록 (Abstract)

리하르트 슈트라우스 (Richard Strauss, 1864-1949)의 가곡집 마지막 잎새 (Op. 10, 1885)는 그의 작품번호가 처음으로 붙기 시작한 작품이면서 후기낭만음악의 대표적 특징인 반음계기법의 사용과 빈번한 전조가 나타나는 작품으로써 리하르트 슈트라우스의 작품의 특징이 잘 나타난 작품이다. 본 논문은 졸업연주 작품가운데 하나인 Op. 10 작품을 분석하여 보다 나은 연주를 하는데 에 도움이 되는 것이 첫 번째 목적이며, 후기낭만음악의 대표적 작곡가들과 리하르트 슈트라우스의 작품특징을 통해 후기낭만음악의 특징을 분석하고, 그러한 특징이 이 작품에 어떻게 나타나며, 이 작품이 리하르트 슈트라우스의 작품세계를 확고히 한 작품으로 대표되는 이유를 알아보고자 함이 두 번째 목적이다.
후기낭만의 주요 특징인 반음계진행과 빈번한 전조, 반주부의 독립성과 관현악적 색채감 기법 사용 등이 이 작품에서 어떻게 나타났으며 독일어 가사의 분석을 통하여 가사가 주는 의미와 리하르트 슈트라우스의 작곡기법이 어떻게 녹아들어 있는지 연구 하였다.

A Study on Op. 10 of Richard Strauss
A collection of works for a master's degree in musicology


Letzte Blätter (Op. 10, 1885), the collection of songs by Richard Strauss (1864-1949) marked the beginning of his opus number. It features some of the characteristics of Post-Romanticism music including a chromatic scale and frequent uses of modulation. It is highlighted both by the characteristics of Richard Strauss works and those of Post-Romanticism. This study set out to analyze Op. 10 in the singer's collection of works for a master's degree and expect for its appealing performance through analysis. It also aimed to analyze the characteristics of Post-Romanticism music based on the characteristics of his works as well as those of other great composers during the period of Post-Romanticism music, examine the ways that the characteristics were reflected in this work, and find the reasons why this work was considered to have made the creative world of Richard Strauss.
The study examined the ways that this work expressed some of the major characteristics of Post-Romanticism music including chromatic progression, frequent modulations, independence of the accompaniment, and orchestration timbre and analyzed its German poems to understand how Richard Strauss' techniques of writing music were integrated in the expression of the lyrics' meanings and words.
