The purpose of this study was to investigate a relationship between teaching efficacy and occupational identity of dance teaching artists. Female dance teaching artists of the whole country were selected as study subjects. Total 250 samples were collected purposively, and, 212 materials, excepting insincere ones, were finally analysed. Descriptive statistic analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were used for data processing, and, the results were as follows. First, according to the individual characteristics of the teaching efficacy and occupational identity of dance teaching artists, no correlation was found statistically. Second, teaching efficacy and occupational identity of dance teaching artists showed high average score of 3.77, and had statistically significant correlation. Third, among sub-factors of teaching efficacy, sense of exertion had significant effects on vocation, subjectivity, speciality, and publicness, competency on publicness and normativity, and, sense of ability on vocation. On the basis of those results, it was thought that the high teaching efficacy of dance teaching artists could draw individual evaluations and worth with prides and beliefs of themselves on efficient and positive classes, and through that, contribute to establishment of occupational identity by removing ambiguous boundaries of occupational identity and experiencing occupational worth and accomplishments.
