The result of the study conducted to analyze employment sense of dance major university students by collecting 382 samples of dance majors and performing analysis of frequency is as follows; 1) High is the rate of those who decided to major dance having considered their aptitude and employment prospect. While many students are generally satisfied with their choices, there are a number of dissatisfied respondents thinking the field futureless and prospectless. Satisfaction of curricula is average, while the rate of the very-dissatisfied is pretty high. Many feel a lack of the courses which correspond with the field of future career and require them to be chances to experience diverse fields such as technique and function related to dance performance. In addition, they feel a lack of language and business ability to get involved in art administration and management and try to study and practice the lacking parts by themselves. The rate of ‘mediocre’ to perceived ease of career use of major is the highest and ‘not at all’ is pretty high. Many consider dance major lifetime work. 2) Economic stability is the first consideration and work condition the next in choosing a career. Ideal is the career to utilize major and aptitude. Good appearance and body condition is thought significant. In career preference, the highest is dancer and the next public official in culture and art field. The rate of no certificates for employment preparation is the highest and practice learning for preparation is the most popular. Most get employment information through seniors or fellows, or school employment information center. Many have no experience of participation in employment information activity and consult friends or seniors about employment or career. In addition, many have a general sense of vocational aptitude and significant numbers have no sense of it. In confidence of employment, the highest rate is ‘mediocre’ and pretty many find no employment prospect in major. 3) The cause of employment barrier is mainly considered ‘lack of major competence’ and to some degree ‘avoidance of local university graduates’. That of employment difficulty is thought the lack of information.
