조경 식재 설계 시 조경 수목 선정의 전문성 고찰

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to seek the ways to the diversified professional selections of types of landscape plants by looking into the problems with selecting types of plants for landscape designs and by identifying the problems with planting designs and analyzing the causes thereof.
This research looked into the related law and regulations then grasped the definition of the general concept and the principles of plants pricing information then considered the aesthetic and functional values of landscape plants and the theories of the process of the planting designs. More than that, this study compared and analyzed the kinds of plants which were selected for the designs of planting through the comparison and analysis of 4 price indices about prices of plants which were noticed to the public.
Also this study looked into the local and overseas literatures on plant materials. That is the analysis of local catalogues and overseas gardening companies then selected the kinds of landscape plants which have potential values. And the analysis of the local and overseas manuals of woody landscape plants showed that the illustrations of the local manuals were scanty in comparison to the overseas ones.
Finally, the collected examples of plants designs were sorted into urban parks, apartment houses and the others. Then found out problems with the current selections of plants by designers. Also considered problems with planting designs and unprofessional matters therewith by means of written surveys not only to the professional planting designers also to the other professionals who have more than 10 years experience in planting. The result of this study thereby were as follows:
First, to set circumstances for selecting various kinds of plants, the noticed prices should be provided with not just the name of plants but also their botanical name for accuracy. And the Korea Landscaping Tree Association should share and notice the general informations about the distribution structure of the landscape woody plants and about the actual prices to set transparent transactions.
Second, many kinds of potential plants for landscaping should be found and developed through various verifying procedures using their botanical name and cultivar to avoid the error which is using their other name or distribution name.
Third, to set a variety database for plants design, the academical literatures which can be referred to for plants design, such as a plants illustration book, should contain various kinds of cultivar.
Fourth, the planting designers and planting material planners should be able to show their cubic drawings, detail drawings and section drawings together with the look of their completion so as to be perfect designs and drawings reflecting the mentioned above the three factors. Additionally, systematic education to the newer and re-education to the experienced in landscaping should be provided organically. And the information not only about the botanical characteristics of landscaping plants but also new kinds of plants should be shared to improve the selection of plants.
